In the presence of His Excellency Eng. Khalid Al Falih, the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, the Chairman of Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships (SCISP), and His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Tuwajri, the Minister of Economy and Planning and as part of the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of France, SCISP organized a workshop under the title “Enhancing our Partnership in light of Vision 2030”. In addition to arranging a dinner banquet in the honor of the high-level French delegation on Sunday, 14 April 2019, in the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh.
The French delegation consisted of key influencers from France such as diplomats, advisers, academicians, journalists, and current and former officials of the French government. Representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom in Paris and the Embassy of France in Riyadh attended the workshop, in addition to several representatives from relevant Saudi government entities and heads from French companies in the Kingdom.
The workshop aimed to address the most important factors to strengthen the Saudi- French partnership by focusing on the economic and cultural pillars of the kingdom Vision 2030 and presenting some of its important projects and programs and discussing some economic and social reforms that were recently carried out in the Kingdom, though highlighting the most prominent projects and programs in the Kingdom that aims to increase the competitive advantages of the Kingdom and to increase the foreign direct investment (FDI) in the fields of energy, industry, mining, logistic services, entertainment, and tourism. The representatives from the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, Royal Commission of Al-Ula, Qiddiya Investment Company, the Red Sea Development Company made presentations of such vital projects to the visiting delegation.
