SCISP Organized Saudi Chinese Job Fair 2019

On Sunday 29 September 2019, the second version of the "Saudi Chinese Job Fair 2019" was organized at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, under the supervision of the Saudi Center for International Strategic Partnerships (SCISP), and the cooperation of the ministries of Education and Labor and Social Development, Embassy of China in Riyadh, Mohammed bin Salman Charity Foundation (MISK), and Chinese companies liaison office in Riyadh.

The Saudi-Chinese Exhibition for Employment aims at providing the Saudi youth, who graduated from Chinese universities, with information on job opportunities available in Chinese companies operating in the Kingdom, within the framework of the growing Saudi-Chinese partnership and the Saudi-Chinese relationships, in order to contribute in achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 through creating job opportunities.

In addition, the Exhibition aims at utilizing the capabilities of Saudi graduates from Chinese universities to work in the Chinese companies in the Kingdom. Where the good command of the Chinese language and the familiarity with the Chinese culture form points of strength for the graduates to involve in work environment with Chinese companies and acquire Chinese knowledge, skills and experience and convey them in the future. The exhibition also aimed at introducing the Chinese companies operating in the Kingdom, and opening new fields and horizons, in addition to encouraging the contribution of Saudization and sustainability.  

The exhibition was opened by His Excellency Dr. Faisal Al-Sugair, the President and CEO of SCISP, Mr. Chen Wei Jing, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Yamani, the Director of Prince Sultan University, Mr. Yin Lijun, the Chinese Deputy Ambassador, His  Excellency Mr. Ghazi Al-Shahrani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development for Saudization, His Excellency Mr. Fahad Bin Sulaiman Al-Baddah, Assistant Undersecretary for Employment Development at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Majoul, Director General of Scholarship Affairs in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Lee Chi Hung, Head of the Chinese companies liaison office, and a number of officials of Ministries of Education and Labor and Social Development. More than 800 graduates of Chinese universities strive to obtain more than 250 available jobs that are provided by more than 14 participating Chinese companies.

The events of the exhibition included a number of programs provided by Charity Foundation (MISK) in order to develop the abilities of job seekers to choose the appropriate means and tools that enable them to reach the job opportunities they aspire to.
It is noteworthy that the leading exhibition is considered one of SCISP initiatives, intended to promote the strategic partnership between the Kingdom and the People's Republic of China to contribute to achieving the objectives of Vision 2030 and its initiatives. Among such objectives is creating appropriate job opportunities for the Saudi youth, since China represents a global political and economic weight; such initiative would provide the Chinese companies with the opportunity to select the qualified Saudi cadres suitable for the activities of these companies. It also gives the students a chance to invest their experience in the Chinese society, language, and culture to bridge the cultural communication between the two countries and convey a prestigious image for the Saudi youth in the work fields.
